This site is a collection of my thoughts on living a happier, healthier, more sustainable life—and other stuff I find interesting. Welcome!
I’m from Kentucky but currently call Washington, DC home. I am married to an awesome woman, Michelle. When not working at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, I enjoy exploring the city on foot or by bike, drinking strong coffee, and playing around with cameras.
I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso from 2012 to 2014, a time that was truly transformative and one that I documented on my blog and in a book that I published, Service Disrupted.
Most recently, my main focus has been my YouTube channel, where I document my life and have fun making videos—ok, most of the time it’s fun, other times it’s stressful but that is self-imposed stress. My goal in life is to create the highest quality of life for myself, my loved ones, and to help others do the same. Hopefully, this website will play a part in that goal.
